$12.25

Vinho Verde, Portugal - Vinho Verde is Portugal’s largest wine region, stretching from the Spanish border to south of Oporto. The soils are acid-rich and granite-based, with areas of schist or slate and clay. The trademark fizz of Vinho Verde wines derives from the release of carbon dioxide during malolactic fermentation. Broadbent uses three varieties in making its Vinho Verde: mostly Loureiro and Trajadura, joined by a dollop of Pederna. Classically styled, it projects a slight spritz that leads to engaging fruit flavors. And because it’s so light, it’s exceedingly refreshing.

Civello White Blend

$14

California - Enjoy the blended aromas of white peach, honeysuckle and fresh citrus. It is not overly dry, nor is it overly sweet. It is just right. We like to say that Civello is sexier than Pinot Grigio, naughtier than Chardonnay, and more refreshing than Sauvignon Blanc.

Strasser Weinberg Grüner Veltliner Reserve (2012) Martin & Anna Arndorfer

$25

Austria - Strasser Weinerge means the 'vineyards' in 'Strass', the fruit for this wine is selected from three of Martins vineyards in the village. The wine is a showcase for the typical characteristics of the variety and vineyard soils around the village... in Martin's words, it is a wine that 'makes you happy'! Gruner is typically a variety that does not see any wood in it's aging and/or fermentation, and here Martin add's just a 'whisper' with the percentage he ages in old used barrels to soften a touch Gruners incredibly natural acidity. Martin also uses Steel barrels to age parts of this wine which change the relationship of the lees to wine ratio. Once again Martin manifesting his great passion, curiosity and creativity and always finding new and innovative ways to vinify this historical and regionally important variety.
